Tips for reporting on crochet and The Crochet Dude

  • Be sure to call it "crochet" and not "knit" - they both use yarn but are essentially different crafts.
  • Be careful not to omit "The" when referring to "The Crochet Dude®"
  • Contemporary usage refers mainly to "crochet hooks" not "crochet needles" (although once upon a time it did)
  • Many crochetiers are men; be sure to use gender neutral statements
